Toured India with England 'A' in 1994-95 and Sri Lanka with England Under 19s in 1993-94.
Was called up to the England squad for this summer's Trent Bridge, Headingley and Oval Test Matches against Australia, but did not make the starting eleven.
Was selected for the full England side's tour to South Africa in 1995-96 but had to withdraw with a back injury.
Received a late cal-up for this winter's Test Series in India after his county colleague Andrew Caddick elected not to tour.
Left Middlesex after eight years on the staff at the end of 2000 and joined Somerset.
Took 62 wickets in his first season with the West County side, collecting five wickets in an innings on five occasions.
Became the second youngest player to take ten wickets in a first-class match when he finished with 10-45 against Derbyshire at Derby in 1994.
Plays for Sunbury CC.
