Vivek Srivastava's tenure extended in SPG

Senior IPS officer Vivek Srivastava's tenure has been extended till October next year in the post of Inspector General in the Special Protection Group. Srivastava, a 1989-batch IPS officer of Gujarat cadre, was in December last year inducted into SPG on deputation from the Intelligence Bureau. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved an extension for Srivastava till October 6, 2016, said an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training.
