First sign of spin as Digvesh Rathi comes on with his leg-breaks. Nitish Reddy works it to the leg side for a single. A short ball follows, but Rathi oversteps- no-ball called. Another single for Nitish. Markram sprints and dives at long-off, saving two. Head mistimes one just short of mid-on, where David Miller fields- he’s keeping the South Africans busy!

Last over of the powerplay, and more spin as Bishnoi comes in. Head gets a lifeline! Pooran, stationed at long-on, has all the time but fumbles an easy catch. The crowd erupts! Nitish rotates strike with a single. Head punishes LSG- SIX! A rare dot follows as Bishnoi gets a hand to a straight hit but injures himself in the process. Some treatment, a quick chat with Pant, and he’s back. Another return shot from Head- dropped again!
