Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head walk out to open for SRH, with Abhishek taking strike.
Arshdeep Singh begins the attack with a probing yorker-length delivery just outside off. Abhishek meets it solidly on the front foot--calm and watchful to start.
But he wastes no time settling in.
Second ball, he frees his arms and launches it for six--perfect timing, pure confidence. SRH are off to a flying start.
He then chips the next into the ring for no run before nudging a quick single to mid-off. A wide down the leg side follows, adding to the momentum.
Head finally gets going too, working one neatly to backward point for a single. Another sharp run follows to close the over.
A good opening over for SRH--11 runs on the board and early intent clearly set.
Marco Jansen operates from the other end as SRH continue their charge.
Travis Head rotates strike with a controlled clip towards the leg side for a single.
Then Abhishek Sharma takes over.
He stays tall, picks his length early, and absolutely hammers it into the stands for six -- clean, powerful, no doubt about it. The momentum keeps building as he follows up with a boundary fine of the leg side.
And he’s not done yet -- another spectacular six, this time sheer timing and intent combined.
There’s a rare miss in between as he swings hard and fails to connect, but the pressure stays firmly on the bowlers.
A misfield near the boundary rope by Lockie Ferguson makes things worse-- what should’ve been a clean stop goes through for four. He’ll feel he could’ve done better there.
A costly over ends with SRH in full flow 21 runs from it. After 2 overs, SRH are 32 without loss, flying.
