SA 128-7 (19 Ovs) vs IND 124 (20 Ovs) | Scorecard
SA win by 3 wickets

After being restricted to a modest total by the Indian bowlers, South Africa found themselves in deep trouble at 86/7, seemingly on the brink of a comprehensive loss.

However, a valiant partnership between Stubbs and Coetzee turned the tide, as they displayed immense composure and skill to guide their side to a thrilling win.

The Indian bowlers had earlier delivered a disciplined performance, keeping the South African batsmen in check and restricting them to a below-par score.

The Proteas' batting lineup struggled to cope with the pressure, losing wickets at regular intervals. However, Stubbs and Coetzee refused to give up, playing a gritty and responsible innings to steer South Africa to victory.

19:09   South Africa win toss, opt to bowl first

South Africa have won the toss and elected to bowl first in the second T20I against India.

With rain predicted, the Proteas have opted for a conservative approach, hoping to exploit any moisture in the pitch.

India will continue with the same XI that dominated the first match, with Suryakumar Yadav expressing confidence in their approach and intent.

South Africa, meanwhile, have made one change, bringing in Hendricks for the injured Kruger.
image
18:56   India eye 2-0 lead vs South Africa

Sanju Samson will look to extend his dominance in the second T20I against South Africa in Gqeberha, but India needs more consistency from its top order.

Samsons explosive 107 off 50 balls powered India to a 61-run win in the opener, yet contributions from other batters remain a concern. Opener Abhishek Sharmas recent struggles, coupled with quick cameos from Tilak Varma, have underscored the need for stability. Skipper Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya also need to build on their starts to prevent middle-order collapses like Indias six-wicket loss for 36 runs in the first match.

Indias bowling attack, led by Varun Chakravarthy and Ravi Bishnoi, was in superb form, restricting South Africa to 141 with tight spin bowling and solid pace support from Arshdeep Singh and Avesh Khan. Confident in their bowling, India will aim for a 2-0 lead in the series.

For South Africa, missing key players like Quinton de Kock, Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, and Tabraiz Shamsi, this second T20I is a tough challenge.

With recent series struggles, including a 0-3 loss to West Indies and a draw against Ireland, South Africa will rely heavily on senior players Aiden Markram, David Miller, and Heinrich Klaasen to bounce back.
