Cheteshwar Pujara will be aiming to build a steady partnership with Rishabh Pant and anchor India's run-chase successfully against Australia, on Day 5 of the fourth and final Test match, at The Gabba in Brisbane. 

Post lunch Shubman Gill stitched a strong partnership with Pujara, bringing India back into the game. Gill slammed 91 runs off 146 balls. Ajinkya Rahane also played a quick knock of 24 runs off 22 deliveries, before Cummins dismissed him. 

Now, Pujara and Rishabh Pant to stabilise India's run-chase. India need 145 runs in 37 overs and have seven wickets in hand.

Good morning and welcome to the updates of the 5th and final day of the 4th and final Test between Australia and India played at the Gabba, in Brisbane, on Tuesday.

India need 324 runs for a fairytale victory in the deciding fourth Test against Australia after rain brought an end to play after tea on Day 4.

Rohit Sharma was four not out, with Shubman Gill yet to score, after the injury-decimated tourists bowled Australia out for 294 in their second innings.

With the series level at 1-1, Australia must win the match to claim the Border-Gavaskar trophy.

Holders India, however, need only a draw to retain the silverware after their breakthrough 2-1 win in the 2018/19 series in Australia.
