Maharashtra Director General of Police Rajnish Seth has said that Aurangabad police commissioner is looking into the Sunday speech of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray and will take necessary legal action.

"Maharashtra police will act against anyone trying to disturb communal harmony," the DGP said on Thackeray's announcement of protest from May 4 against loudspeakers atop mosques.

In a public address in Aurangabad on Sunday, the MNS chief said he was firm on his deadline for removal of loudspeakers, which he termed as a nuisance, from mosques, and added that if it was not done, then all Hindus should play Hanuman Chalisa outside these religious places.  -- PTI
