5,000 still stranded in Uttarakhand

Nearly 5,000 people are still trapped in flood-hit regions of Uttarakhand while 400 are missing, authorities said on Thursday.

Those stranded in the aftermath of the deluge are facing a severe shortage of water and food, said media reports.
