Malinga continued his superb spell, delivering pinpoint yorkers under pressure. Klaasen saved crucial runs at long-on off the first ball, showcasing sharp fielding. Tim David, struggling to find timing, couldn't score off the next two deliveries. The pressure finally got to him, and on the fourth ball, he attempted a big hit but only managed to loft it straight to long-on. Klaasen, showing great composure, took a well-judged catch while stepping back and tumbling, ending David's scratchy innings at just 1 off 5 balls. With that, RCB lost another wicket and sank deeper into trouble at 179 for 7 in 18.4 overs.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar walked in next, a surprising move, likely to just rotate strike. Krunal ends the over with a boundary.

RCB now need 46 from 12 balls, with SRH firmly in control.

Cummins returned to the attack and struck immediately. Delivering a fast, full delivery, he breached Bhuvneshwar Kumar's defences and sent the stumps flying. Bhuvi walks back after scoring 3 off 2 balls.

With that, RCB slipped further into trouble, now needing 46 runs from just 11 balls a steep ask with only two wickets in hand. Cummins delivers yet another clutch moment for SRH.

Yash Dayal is the new batter and gets off the mark with a single. Krunal Pandya, on strike, misses a well-executed yorker. The next delivery is another wide yorker, but in an unfortunate twist, Krunal is out hit wicket while trying to reach for it. A bizarre and untimely dismissal.

Ngidi walks in as the last man and can only push to point for no run. A dot ball ends the over. Just 1 run and 2 wickets came off it.

After 19 overs, RCB are 187 for 9 and need a daunting 45 runs from the final 6 balls.

Shepherd walks in as the new batter, and Jitesh gets a single to keep the strike. But the pressure mounts - Shepherd is gone first ball, chipping a catch straight back to Malinga's left.

Cummins then bowls a fuller delivery on off stump, which Salt looks to attack by opening his stance and coming deep into the crease. He gets a good connection, sending the ball high enough for Harshal at mid-off to make a sharp half-turn and race towards mid-on to take the catch. Salt departs after a blistering 62 off just 32 balls.

Jitesh comes to the crease and immediately makes an impact, blasting a six off his first ball. He follows it up with a quick single, and Patidar gets a single as well. A wicket and 11 runs come off the over.

Reddy comes back into the attack, and meanwhile Salt is down with a cramp. The physio rushes in to work on his right leg, helping him stretch out as Salt lies on his back. After a brief break, Salt looks ready to continue. The over starts with a short delivery, and Mayank pulls it to deep square leg for a single. Salt then whips the next ball to deep midwicket for a good strike. But then, trouble for RCB - Agarwal is beaten! Reddy bowls a fuller length delivery just outside off, and Agarwal tries to loft it but gets a thick outside edge that flies to Kishan. A simple catch, and RCB lose another wicket. Agarwal departs for 11 off 10 balls.

Impact substitute Patidar replaces Suyash Sharma and is immediately off the mark with a single. Salt finishes the over with a glorious six.

A wicket and 9 runs come off the over. After 11 overs, RCB are 127 for 2.

Agarwal gets into the action, working a shot to short midwicket, then cuts a crisp four over point. He follows it up with a single to keep the scoreboard ticking. Salt finishes the over with a massive six- 16 runs come off it. After 8 overs, RCB are cruising at 96-1.

Harsh Dubey takes over, and Agarwal nudges one towards deep midwicket for a single. Salt, unfazed, blasts another six with disdain and follows it up with a quick single. After 9 overs, RCB are 108-1, needing 124 runs from 66 balls.

Malinga returns to the attack, but Salt cleverly squeezes a couple of runs to the left of short fine leg. He follows it up with a single on the next ball. Mayank Agarwal keeps the pressure on with a fluent single, looking flawless at the crease. Salt then unleashes a crisp boundary, bringing up his fifty off just 27 balls- a fine display of power and timing.

Malinga tries a dipping slower yorker that nearly traps Salt, but it just misses off stump as Salt misses the shot. Salt finishes the over with a couple more runs.

Ten runs come off the 10th over, and after 10 overs, RCB are comfortably placed at 118-1, needing 114 runs from 60 balls.

image
RCB 80-1 (7 Ovs) vs SRH 231-6 | SCORECARD

Harsh Dubey into the attack, and he strikes gold! Kohli starts the over by pushing towards deep midwicket for a single. Salt is watchful, slicing one to point for no run, then steps down and smokes a huge six - clean and straight! A single follows, rotated nicely to extra cover. Then comes the big breakthrough! Tossed up on a good length around middle, Kohli backs away to cut, but the ball kicks up a bit more than expected. He ends up slicing it straight to point where Abhishek Sharma makes no mistake. Kohli walks back for 43 off 25 - a lively knock, but he'll be disappointed to not convert.

Harsh Dubey is over the moon- he's got the big fish! 8 runs and a wicket from the 7th over. RCB are 80/1.

RCB dominates powerplay

image
RCB 72-0 (6 Ovs) vs SRH 231-6 | SCORECARD

Jaydev Unadkat returns for his second, and Salt begins with a pull to deep square for a single. Kohli is in no mood to slow down - smashes a boundary with utter disdain, then rotates strike with a quick single. A bouncer sails too high and is rightly called a wide.

Salt joins the party with a crisp boundary to bring up RCB's 50 in style. Two more singles round out the over.

After 5 overs, RCB are off to a flier at 55 for no loss.

Ehsan Malinga is introduced, and Kohli greets him with a monster six - that flew! A single follows to keep the strike rotating. Salt cashes in on a full delivery and drills it for four. He mistimes a full toss next, no run. But he makes up for it immediately - launches the next ball over the ropes! Dot to finish, but the damage is done.

RCB off to a flyer, Kohli dominates

image
RCB 42-0 (4 Ovs) vs SRH 231-6 | SCORECARD

Pat Cummins returns for his second over. He bangs it in short and Kohli pulls- but straight to deep backward square leg. Nitish Reddy races in from the ropes and leaps' but misjudges it! Had he stayed back, that would've been a regulation catch. Instead, the ball sails over him for four. A single follows, as Kohli keeps the strike ticking. Cummins turns up the heat - a sharp bouncer smashes into Kohli's helmet, right on the badge. A late pull attempt from Kohli, but it's a nasty blow. Thankfully, he looks fine to continue. Another misfield gifts Kohli a couple more runs. Expensive over - 12 from it. After 3 overs, RCB are 31 for no loss.

Harshal Patel into the attack now - and drama straightaway! He fires in a high full toss that Salt clubs straight to deep midwicket, taken by Abhishek. But hold on - it's called a no-ball! The ball was too high, and the technology confirms it. What looked like a wicket turns into a free hit. Salt can only manage a single off the next. Then it's all Kohli - he unfurls two back-to-back boundaries, vintage stuff from the maestro. Harshal strays down leg, wide called. Kohli can't connect the next three deliveries, but the damage is done.

11 runs from the over. After 4 overs, RCB are 42 for no loss.

Phil Salt and Virat Kohli, both seasoned chasers, to open the innings. Pat Cummins has the new ball and will start over the wicket to Salt. First delivery - length ball on leg stump, Salt misses. But Kohli gets going in style, punching a boundary to get off the mark. Salt then cops one on the helmet but still manages to pick up four runs as it deflects away.

10 runs come off the opening over.

Jaydev Unadkat shares the new ball from the other end. Kohli swings and misses the first ball, but responds with a cracking boundary. He follows it up by glancing one fine to the left of deep backward square leg for a couple. Steady start from RCB - 9 runs come off the over. After 2 overs, RCB are 19 for no loss.
21:26

Kishan's unbeaten 94 powers SRH to 231

SRH 231-6 (20 Ovs) vs RCB | SCORECARD

Yash Dayal entrusted with the final over. First ball - well fielded by David at deep backward square leg, saving crucial runs. However, he appears to have tweaked his hamstring in the process and immediately walks off. Bethell comes on as a substitute.

Cummins struggles to connect cleanly and manages just a single. Dayal follows it up with a sharp delivery to Kishan, who can only squeeze out two runs.

Then Kishan finds the gap and finally breaks free - a boundary! He isn't done yet, launching the next ball into the stands for a massive six. A single to end the innings.

SRH finish strongly, adding 15 runs in the final over to post 231 for 6 after 20 overs.

Ishan Kishan anchored the innings brilliantly, finishing unbeaten on 94 off 48 balls, laced with 7 fours and 5 sixes. He held firm even as wickets fell around him, pacing his knock to perfection. Hats off to Kishan - a true masterclass in T20 batting under pressure.

Kishan's heroics propel SRH

SRH 216-6 (19 Ovs) vs RCB | SCORECARD

Bhuvneshwar Kumar comes on to bowl his final over. Kishan drives one to extra cover - misfield gifts him a single. He follows it up with a crisp boundary, then picks up a couple more with smart placement. Drama unfolds next. Kishan shapes to reverse sweep, and Bhuvi fires it full and wide outside off. Kishan misses, and it's initially signaled a wide. But Jitesh challenges the call. Replays show the ball just brushing the edge of the revised wide guideline, and the third umpire is initially satisfied it's a wide. However, RCB players surround the umpires, urging a recheck. Upon further review, it's ruled that Kishan had moved across the stumps, bringing the delivery inside the wide line. The decision is overturned - not a wide, and RCB keep their review. Kishan responds in style, smashing the next delivery for a towering six. He ends the over with a single. After 18 overs, SRH are 203 for 6.

Ngidi returns for the penultimate over. Kishan starts with a nudge down to long-off for a single, giving strike to Cummins on his first ball. Ngidi delivers a slower bouncer outside off, and Cummins throws everything into a hook - manages to squeeze out two runs. He follows it up with another couple, hustling hard between the wickets. No boundaries yet, but the intent is clear. Cummins swings hard and misses the next one, but makes up for it by finally connecting - and sends it soaring into the stands for a six! Last ball - mistimed again, but Ngidi puts down a tough return catch! Cummins survives and picks up two more.

A productive over for SRH - 13 runs from it. After 19 overs, they move to 216 for 6.

Shepherd persists with the short ball - this one climbs sharply after pitching just outside off. Manohar backs away and tries to swat-pull it, but it balloons off the splice of the bat. Salt at deep midwicket settles under it - nearly makes a mess of it on the first attempt, but keeps his eyes on the ball and completes the catch low to the ground. Manohar departs for 10.

Another breakthrough for RCB.

RCB chase top-2 finish

image
Hello and welcome to the coverage of the IPL match between RCB and SRH.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru will aim for a top-two finish - their first since 2016  when they face Sunrisers Hyderabad in Lucknow.

Currently second with 17 points from 12 games, RCB can seal a top-two spot with wins in their final two matches. The match, originally a home fixture, was shifted due to early monsoon rains.

RCB were in blazing form before the league paused amid the India-Pakistan military conflict, riding a four-match winning streak.
