Avesh Khan was brought on to finish the powerplay, hoping to stem the flow of runs-but Punjab Kings kept the scoreboard moving. Prabhsimran and Shreyas Iyer exchanged early singles before a big moment-Prabhsimran skied one, but Nicholas Pooran dropped a sitter at deep point, failing to get a solid base under the ball. He redeemed himself partially with a brilliant stop at backward point, diving sharply to save a boundary.
Prabhsimran then found the gap for a couple and finished the over with a classy four.
Ten runs came off it, and at the end of the powerplay, Punjab Kings are well-placed at 66 for 2.
