Pakistan 48-3 (18 overs) vs South Africa 234-9Part-time spinner JP Duminy comes into the attack now, replacing McLaren, who bowled a superb first spell of seven runs in four overs, including two maidens.
Duminy strikes in his very first over with the wicket of Malik, who defends it but the ball rolls back on to his stumps to bowl him after a painful innings of eight from 29 balls.
Duminy getting some turn as new batsman Misbah-ul-Haq inside edge it but luckily for him it strikes his pads.
A good start from Duminy giving away just a single while getting the wicket of Malik to cripple Pakistan further.

Pakistan 18-2 (10 overs) vs South Africa 234-9Ryan McLaren comes into the attack, replacing Morris, who took two for 12 in four overs.
He also follows the script and concentrates on bowling a tight line and length, not giving Shoaib Malik anything to work it.
McLaren bowls the second successive maiden over to leave Pakistan struggling at 18 for two in 10 overs.
Since Hafeez was dismissed, Pakistan have gone without a run for 13 deliveries in a row.

Pakistan 18-2 (8 overs) vs South Africa 234-9Jamshed finally breaks the shackles somewhat as he flicks a full delivery on the pads through midwicket for the first boundary of the innings, from the 43rd ball.
But Morris cripples Pakistan further with the wicket of Hafeez, who top edges the pull shot and is caught at square leg after struggling for seven from 21 balls.
Morris has two for 12 in four overs with Pakistan reeling at 18 for two after eight overs.

Pakistan 10-1 (5 overs) vs South Africa 234-9Pakistan being very watchful against the new ball, hoping to get through with minimum damage. They have already lost an early wicket and they are now looking to play themselves in and lift the rate later on when the ball gets a bit older.
Hafeez defends the first two balls from Tsotsobe before getting a single on the leg side. Jamshed plays out the last three balls as just a single comes from that over.
Pakistan are struggling at 10 for one after five overs with Hafeez on five (11 balls) and Jamshed on two (10 balls).

South Africa failed miserably in the final few overs as they scored just 32 runs from the last five overs, while losing four wickets in the process.
Pakistan captain Misbah mixed up his bowlers quite well and used the three off-spinners to good effect. Hafeez was the pick of the spinners, taking one for 38 in ten overs and Malik made a good contribution of one for 27 in six overs.
Ajmal was hit for runs at the start of his spell but he made a good comeback to take one for 42.
With Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel missing, Pakistan will be fancying their chances of chasing down this total with relative ease on a pitch not posing many problems for the batsmen.

South Africa 234-9 (50 overs) vs PakistanRiaz to bowl the final over of the innings. Chris Morris makes room and tries to blast it through the off-side but he misses before getting one to mid-off.
Peterson flicks the third ball to deep midwicket for two runs. He hits the next ball back to the bowler, who shows good reaction to collect the ball and throw the stumps at the non-striker's end to run out Morris for one.
Peterson is beaten by a full delivery outside the off-stump as he fails to make contact. He shuffles across and tries to paddle the last ball fine but misses and wicketkeeper Akmal gets another direct hit to run out Aaron Phangiso.

South Africa 231-7 (49 overs) vs PakistanJunaid to bowl the 49th over. Miller gets a single from the first ball before Peterson smashes the next through the covers for a boundary.
Junaid tries the bouncer but Peterson ducks under it and it is called a wide for height. The left-arm pacer then dishes out a full toss which Peterson hits through the off-side for another four and then takes a single.
Miller tries to slam a full toss through the off-side but gets an edge which flies past the keeper for the third four of the over.
The left-hander falls off the last ball of that over. He tries to smash it through the covers but Misbah comes up with a diving catch to his left to send Miller back for 19.
15 runs for South Africa in that over.

McLaren is beaten all ends up as Ajmal gets one to turn big before he tries the reverse sweep but can't beat the fielder at short thirdman.
McLaren turns it to square leg for a couple followed by a dot ball.
Three runs from the over as Pakistan continue to dry up the runs.

Duminy plays back to the first ball as it hits him on the pads and is lucky that he got an inside edge else he would have been out leg before wicket. Duminy comes down the track but is forced to defend as he plays four dot balls in a row before getting a single.
De Villiers tries to sweep but fails to connect and gets two leg byes in the process.

But Ajmal gets his man two balls later as Amla yet again tries the reverse sweep but is caught by Hafeez at short thirdman diving forward.
Amla walks back after a good innings of 81 from 97 balls, hitting nine boundaries in total.

The right-hander was way too early into the pull shot and ended up lobbing a simple catch on the off-side. Du Plessis and Amla put on 69 runs from 84 balls for the second wicket to lay a solid foundation for the innings.
Captain AB de Villiers is off the mark with one on the leg side and Amla flicks it on the leg side for a couple. Irfan then bowls a high full toss to Amla who guides it fine for a boundary as the umpires call it a no-ball for height and the bowler is given a warning too.
Amla flicks the last ball fine on the leg side for two runs as 10 runs come from that over.

Amla gets an inside edge again for a single on the leg side and Ingram flicks the next ball to midwicket for one before Amla defends the last ball.

Amla takes a single from the first ball. Ingram's struggle continues as he is unable to even get singles and plays away five dot balls in a row. He even jumped down the wicket to the fifth ball but was forced to defend and nearly lobbed a catch back to the bowler but it fell short.
Ingram will need to get on with things or he will put more pressure on Amla.

Both Pakistan and South Africa are desperate for a victory, having lost their opening matches.
South Africa went down to India by 26 runs, while Pakistan were beaten by two runs by West Indies.
It is a bit overcast in Birmingham but the pitch is expected to get slower as the game goes on. South Africa will be looking to post a total in excess of 250 and then claim some early wickets to put Pakistan batsmen under pressure right from the start.

South Africa captain AB de Villiers has won the toss and elected to bat against Pakistan in the 5th match of the ICC Champions Trophy, in Birmingham, on Monday.
South Africa have received another big blow as pacer Morne Morkel is ruled out with injury. Dale Steyn is also absent after failing to recover from his injury.
Pacer Chris Morris, who impressed with the ball for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 6, will make his ODI debut. Left-arm spinner Aaron Phangiso comes in for Rory Kleinveldt.
Pakistan made one change, bringing in Umar Amin in place of Asad Shafiq.
