The inimitable Lalu Prasad Yadav gives his opinion on the PM candidate for the opposition.
When asked about the PM face from the opposition and his earlier advice to Rahul Gandhi to get married, the RJD chief says, "Whoever becomes the PM should not be without a wife. Staying at the PM residence without a wife is wrong. This should be done away with..."
When asked how many seats will the alliance get in the 2024 elections, Lalu Yadav said, "At least 300."
Lalu Prasad at the Opposition meet on June 23 in Patna, gave a paternal reprimand to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his refusal to tie the nuptial knot, pointing out the consternation it was causing to his mother Sonia Gandhi.
"Baat maaniye, shaadi kariye", said Prasad, adding "your mummy keeps fretting over your refusal to get married".
"We would like to be a part of your wedding procession (baraat) said Prasad, evoking a shy smile from Gandhi and guffaws from others present on the occasion.
