JK: Encounter leaves terrorist, cop, army man dead

A terrorist, police official and an army trooper belonging to the Rashtriya Rifles regiment have been killed in an ongoing encounter at Dadsara in South Kashmir's Pulwama district.

A senior police official told rediff.com's Mukhtar Ahmad in Srinagar that a joint team of the Rashtriya Rifles and local police, acting on a tip-off, had surrounded a house and challenged the terrorists holed up inside to surrender. The encounter is still on.

Reinforcements have been rushed to the area, the official added.
