Day 3 began on a solemn note, with players and spectators observing a minute's silence in tribute to the victims of the Air India Ahmedabad plane crash. As play resumed, Kagiso Rabada took the ball with two slips and a gully in place, needing two wickets to complete a 10-wicket haul in the match.
