India 430-4 (102 ovs) vs England | Scorecard

This is only the fourth time that three Indian batters have scored centuries in an innings in a Test match outside Asia and the second time that the visitors have achieved the feat at Headingley.

Pant taps Stokes on the off-side for a quick single and Gill slaps the pacer past point for two runs before picking one off the next.

Pant has a big wild swing at Stokes but only manages to mishit the ball to mid-on followed by a cautious block.

Gill also looks to get on with it as he attempts to sweep Bashir but misses and is hit on the gloves.

Gill down the wicket but ends up dragging the heave straight into the hands of Carse at deep square leg.

Captain Gill walks back after a superb knock of 147 from 227 balls, having hit 19 fours and a six.

He put on 209 runs for the fourth wicket with Pant to put India on course for a huge first innings total.

Karun Nair, back in the Indian Test team after a long wait of eight years, plays a nice straight drive off the first ball he faces but Bashir dives to his right to save the run.
