Bumrah to bowl the first over after lunch. England have not let the run-rate drop below 3 despite losing both openers in one over.

Bumrah starts with a fullish delivery outside off and Pope punches it to mid-on. No run. 

After another dot, Pope makes full use of a poor delivery from Bumrah, flicking a delivery that straying into his pads for a boundary. 

Three dots to end the over. Just four come off it. 


Siraj continues and starts with a good length ball swinging away as Root goes deep into his crease and carves it to gully. No run. 

After two more dot balls, Root picks up a single by tapping a back of a length delivery to leg side. 

Two dots to end the over. Just a single come off it. 


Bumrah then sends in a fullish delivery angling in and Root slices it to the point region for a single. 

Five dots follow as Bumrah concedes just a single. 


Siraj is back and bowls a back of a length delivery outside off as Root defends it well. 

Root stands firm in his crease and defends the next five balls too. Another maiden over from Siraj. 


Pope to face Bumrah's next over. Good length ball wide outside off and the batter lets it go. 

Bumrah follows it up with a shortish delivery outside off and Pope pulls it and the ball goes straight to the fielder at mid-wicket. No run.

Four dot balls follow. Just one run come off the over. 


For the first time in the innings, England's run-rate has fallen below 3. 


Siraj continues and bowls a fullish delivery outside off and Root tries to drive it but the thick inside edge takes the ball to the on-side. No run. 

Siraj then bowls five dot balls on the trot. Back-to-back maiden overs. 

The pressure is building as both Bumrah and Siraj are not giving any freebies to the batters.
