He follows it up with a single. Then it's Gill's turn to turn up the heat-drills one down the ground for four, and follows it up with another boundary, this time piercing the gap with precision.
A risky single to end the over, but both batters survive. 12 runs came off it, and after 16 overs, GT are cruising at 151 for 1.
Time for Sunil Narine's final over. Gill gets things going by making room and picking up a couple of quick singles. Then comes the big moment-a towering six! Gill waits for the shorter one and dispatches it deep into the leg side. He rotates strike with a single next. Buttler swings and misses at one, then nudges towards long-on for a single.
