Romania's Simona Halep was third time lucky as she edged American Sloane Stephens to win the French Open women's singles title at Roland Garros.

Playing her third French Open final, the World No 1 rallied from a set down to win 3-6, 6-4, 6-1 and claim her maiden grand slam title.
