Cong leader Chacko to head JPC probe

Just in: It's official now. SeniorCongress leaderP C Chacko has been appointed chairman of the JPC on the 2G spectrum allocation issue, says Parlimentary Affairs Minister P K Bansal.

The JPC set up to investigate alleged irregularities in 2G spectrum allocation has a 30-member panel to ensure wider representation of political parties.

It may be remembered that the entire winter session of Parliament was wasted because the Congress refused to give in to the Opposition demand for a JPC probe.
