4. Amitabh Bachchan

Phew! Talk about gusto.

This sexagenarian packs more stamina than most teens, and this year saw him push himself in extreme directions. On one hand, he was the grizzled royal guard in Eklavya, and on the other he turned himself into a villainous caricature for Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag. He played a credibly lecherous older man in Nishabd and a disarmingly sarcastic older flirt in Cheeni Kum.

No matter what, he just keeps it going, and that must be saluted. The enthu is enough to forgive him the unending Jhoom Barabar Jhoom dance.
