5. Sanjay Dutt

It's been turmoil.

Indictments and court dates and arrests and retrials and appeals -- Sanjay Dutt has had a year he'd much rather forget.

Yet, it is testimony to the box office power of everyone's favourite bhai that he manages to draw in crowds with films like Shootout At Lokhandwala and Dhamaal, the latter seeing him as the best-loved character, even without the punchlines.

Likely the only reason anybody watched Dus Kahaaniyan to begin with, Sanju also got rave reviews for Eklavya.
