Ivory keys and steering wheel buttons aren't that different.
A fine pianist, Sutil made great music on the track right from his 1997 karting debut -- he was 14 at the time. In 2002, he dominated the Swiss Formula Ford 1800 in ways that would make former German F1 perfectionists proud -- he won every single round of the ten-race season, and did it from pole position each time.
After mixed steps up the racecar rung -- Formula BMW, Formula 3 and A1 team racing didn't treat him too well – 2006 saw him break into Formula One, as third driver with the MF1 racing team. Now, the 24-year-old driver's getting to play with the big boys, partnering Christian Albers in the team now rechristened Spyker. Is F1 going to be a symphony? Or a hiccup? Let's wait and watch.
