Australian Open - Day 3

Jarkko Nieminen of Finland celebrates after winning an important point against Paradorn Srichaphan of Thailand.

Nieminen caused the third upset of the day as he beat 27th seeded Srichaphan 6-3, 6-4, 6-2.

Srichaphan looked out of sorts as he made 42 unforced errors in the match that lasted only one hour 46 minutes.

Nieminen, world number 87, awaits the winner of the Roger Federer - Takao Suzuki match later in the day.
