Wiki: BJP serves privilege notice against PM

BJP leader Sushma Swaraj has served a privilege notice in the Lok Sabha against Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on his statement on the Wikileaks revelation on the 2008 trust motion.

The privilege notice is for "misleading" the Parliament on the cash-for-vote episode. The party also demands a discussion on the matter.

The PM while explaining the cash-for-vote issue had asserted on the floor of the House that a Parliamentary committee which went into the 2008 cash-for-vote issue had concluded that there was insufficient evidence to draw any conclusion of bribery was "completely at variance with truth".
