It's been just over five months since actor-turned politician Sarath Kumar launched his party -- the Samuttuva Makkal Katchi.
And the turn out at the party's first conference at Madurai on February 10 was ample proof that Sarath had finally arrived at the centre stage of Tamil Nadu politics.
According to estimates, huge number of people turned up to be a part of the Samuttuva Makkal Katchi -- the party for all sections.
Those who said that the party would cater only to the Nadars were forced to chew their words, as Sarath's fans ensured that people from all walks of life were present. The word caste is banned in this organisation.
