'Renewing America's Promise' will be the theme on the second day, and Senator Hillary Clinton, who lost the nomination to Obama in a bruising primary battle, will be the headline prime-time speaker.
She is expected to put all the rumours -- about her being bitter on not being named the running mate -- to rest by calling on all her supporters to work toward electing Obama so that Democrats can take back the White House.
Tuesday's Convention programme will also feature the voices of Americans, 'who share Barack's concerns and strongly support his detailed economic plan to grow the economy, create jobs, restore fairness, and expand opportunity', states the DNCC.
Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee chairman Congressman Christopher Van Hollen is also slated to speak and showcase his top candidates for change, one of whom could very well be Indian American Ashwin Madia, who is expected to win the open 3rd District seat from Minnesota.
