Uma Bharti declared that her party leaders want to contest elections from a new platform.

She predicted a bright future, saying she was sure her party would emerge victorious in the Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.

The BJP response to Bharti's announcement of a new party has been one of indifference. At a press conference earlier, when BJP spokesperson Prakash Javdekar was probed about this, he snapped, "Who Umaji?"
