Birthday message for Rahul Gandhi

It seems that the Gandhi family believes that whenever Rahul dons a new avatar, it will be the most suitable time for the Congress. What is good for the family is good for the party, is the message emanating out of 10, Janpath.

Obviously, then, the question arises: What is the most appropriate time for Rahul's much-awaited entry?

Congress party managers have differing opinions.

A section of the party believes that enough is enough, any further delay in Rahul Gandhi's entry will hurt the Congress's political interest.

The UP elections are the biggest challenge awaiting the Congress and it can't afford to wait any longer. Particularly after Sonia Gandhi's Rae Bareli win, the Congress could have created a ripple effect in the state and built on the positive vibes for the party.

According to sources in the Congress, Rahul's apolitical friends have got a survey done in UP which claims that in the caste-ridden UP a new class is emerging. Of young voters.

Next year's election will witness the emergence of youth power in the state.

It is believed that 75 per cent of voters will be between age of 18 and 40.

The survey claims that Rahul does have an appeal among the youth of the state where the Congress is currently in fourth place with a voter base of around 5 per cent.

If the party wants to improve even marginally, it will need the charisma of the Gandhis, claims this survey.
