ighteen years after he was charged with causing the death of a Patiala resident in a scuffle, former cricketer and BJP MLA Navjot Singh Sidhu was found guilty of culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
While the quantum of the sentence will be announced on December 6, Sidhu -- now known more for his witticisms as a commentator and TV show host -- could face a life sentence.
Sidhu has, since, submitted his resignation as a Lok Sabha MP but due to some technical lapses, which were pointed out by Speaker Somnath Chatterjee, will submit a fresh one.
