Quake Experience: I was on my bed when it felt as if someone is trying to shake the double bed, for few minutes I felt that it was my brother but then my dad also said that his chair seemed to be shaking and then when i got up, the whole world seemed to tremble & revolve. Really it was a Double bed and I myself weigh so much but still the bed trembled so badly. It was such a ghostly kind of experience.

Quake Experience: This is the first time I am experiencing an earth quake. I was attending a talk given by L V Subramaniam. The auditorium started shaking while our Prof Dr Bakshi calmed us down us saying "Friends be calm, we are facing a mild earthquake" As he started further the earthqauke inesfied and we found the fans shaking with more swing. We all rushed outwards when the whole thing was over.
The best thing was our Prof was acting like a Dr who was in control of the whole thing and it seemed like he was giving us a practical session on eARTHqUAKE.
That was quite an experience.

Quake Experience: It was around 9:30 in the morning,I was in my Immunisation clinic, giving immunisation advice to the mother of a infant that suddenly I felt everything was shaking, initially I thought its my illusion then even my junior doctors sitting with me reported the same, at the same time I looked around and found that big almirahs in the hospital OPD are also shaking, For sure it is earthquake, I shouted and asked all the people around to vacate the OPD and to move to any open space. It was really fearsome, although 'the dance of the Earth' stopped in 30 secs but we all returned to the room only after 15 minutes.

Quake Experience: hi I live on the second floor in noida.when i felt that my chair is shaking i thought my friend who was sitting besides me is doing this.But when i looked back I saw he was far enough from me...then it suddenly struck my mind that it was a earthquake.I cried n told my friend to rush to the ground floor.There were lots of people who came out of their houses. It was after an hour that we were able to come back home .My friend did not want to come even after that..He is still very much worried about the incident.

Quake Experience: I am Mrinal from Madhapar which is 2KM from Bhuj. When earth shok i was in office. We have a printing press on top of our office. So on that day when earth shok i thought that the printing press is making much vibration. So I went out of the office to tel them to stop the mechine. But when i went out side earth shok so much that i did not know what acutall was happening. I thought that it was the end of the world as the thing was not stoping. I could see man,weman and children running from their house shouthing. Till then it came to halt but i still did not know what happen.. Some told it was earthquake and some told that there was a test mesile as we have army base in bhuj.At that time i no one knew that there was a large damage. So i thought to go house and check everything was fine. But on my way to home i saw many house crushed and many people were under it. Then i thought about my family are they fine or not? But god have saved then and they all were safe. But after some hours we came to know that the quake have rocked many city.

I am student of Jammu University. around 9.20 am as usual i started for my university in car when i saw people coming out of their houses in my street, bakshi nagar. i thought that some terrorist attack has happened, then i saw people sitting down then i thought bullet firing is going on but that time someone cried about earthquake and i saw water tank shaking like pendulum. traffic came to stand still and there was panic every where. when i reached university i found our library building had cracks on 3rd floor and some tiles also fell of. there were rumors about more earthquakes.all phone lines, mobile links were out of order. finally it was decided by authority to declare emergency holiday.it was really horrific experience. i pray to god to give courage to people who lost their lovedones and property too

Quake Experience: I am living in Chandigarh.I was just about to leave for my office when my father shouted that my wife is fell down and than again he shouted that this is a earth quake and leave the house immidiately.
After comming out it was the immpact of the quake that we have seen where all the gates were moving and people in the neighbour got unconcious. Every one was praying to God to save.It was a feeling that take you close to the God and also got the feling that how one felt when some destruction of this magnitudte happens.May God help those effected families who has lost the lives.May God give peace to the souls.

Quake Experience: yes, As a NCC cadet, I was witness to koyna earthquake in 1967. It was horrifying. we were tasked to recue victims from debris. The relatives of the victims were shouting for the assistance and we were unable to decide on priorities. also aftershocks mild tremours were continuously occuruing. we were involved in rescue operation under fear of likely damage to koyna Dam in case of severe eartchquake.

Quake Experience: This was my first such experience when I felt my bed shaking at around 9:25am in Sonepat-Haryana. Initially I thought something else but when it continued for a few seconds I went out of the room. People in the neighbourhood had similar experience. People came out of their houses and shops for a few minutes. However, there are no news of any damage in the area.
Also, media was quick to broadcast the news as at 9:30am, earthquake news was being broadcasted in most of the news channels.

Quake Experience: wow, this was the second experience of a quake and of course the longer one of the two since the last one lasted 10 seconds, way back in 1993.
me and my husband were having breakfast and my servant was in the kitchen making my dog's breakfast. one moment i thought my cane chair (dilapidated one) was breathing its last and the next, ashish (my husband) was like is this a quake????????
and the next second we fled with our dog to the ground floor. (ours is a second storey aptt). but just five mins later we came back to our house cuz i believe in animal's sixth sense. if my doggy wasn't stuck to te floor or crying, rather he was absolutely playful with his ball when the tremors struck, then nothing cood possibly go wrong. so based on that faith we returned and left for our respective offices.
somehow the tingles of the tremor stayed till almost 3 hrs after the incidence and i just can't help wonder how ppl survive such mishaps.
even today i was wondering if i cood just go upstairs to fetch my car keys or maybe my wallet....dinno what was more important at that second and this was when i had the chance and the time. but for those unfortunate ppl out there who see their dreams shattering like nothing, can't help but admire their spirit to live on! hats off to all those survivors who cood build up and live life again!

Quake Experience: I WAS DELIVERING LECTURE IN MY CLASS AT ICFAI GHAZIABAD. MEANWHILE I STARTED FEELING DIZZINESS.I DID NOT KNOW WHAT WAS HAPPENING. WHETHRE IT WAS MY IMMEDIATE HEALTH PROBLEM OR SOME THING ELSE. I DID NOT UTTER ANY WORD IN FRONT OF THE STUDENTS.MEANTIME ONE OF MY STUDENTS REPORTED THAT THERE WAS SOME THING WRONG WITH THE EARTH. as i started the car .it started swinging. i thought this is due to any mis allignment of engine. i started to curse my driver ,that he doesnt know whether car is ok or not. suddenly i see my neighbourhood girl running out of his house .i thought she was calling a shanidaan collector to stop . suddenly i see there is a lot of noise from people .i thought there a fight in my neighbouthood i came out of my car.as i put my feet on ground i realised its earthquake .

Quake Experience: Frankly speaking, that was adventrous,i m residing in city "Karnal" and i cud never feel these tremors before, not even the biggest of indian history which shattered gujrat. But today i felt my PC, table,chair,almirah litterally shaking wild, it took me 5 sec to understand wat is it actually and it continued for about 10-12 seconds, i enjoyed last 5-6 seconds though rushed out of the office building after that, all our ppl here cud feel that and everybody came out of their chambers, we were all excited, but then giving a thought to those who may have suffered got us into panic and kind of worried feelings for them

Quake Experience: It was 9.27 in the morning when i was speaking with my daughter on mobile at Chennai. Suddenly I was feeling uneasiness and turned around to see the mirror was moving like a pendulam and immediately i presumed it was tremor and told my daughter and siwtched off my mobile and informed my wife and my other daughter to come out. The fan and photos were swinging left and right. Meantime everyone in our apartment started shouting and were getting panic. we told them not to get panic and escorted some senior citizens to the open area. This was the first occasion we felt the tremor to this extent.

Quake Experience: I am the principal of model Institute of Educatioon and research ,jammu. In the morning i was in office and the half yearly exams were being conducted. almost 700 school children were present in the school. The whole building shook very hard , the staff and the students panicked . however we were able to evacuate the whole building in a matter of 5 minutes and all the children and teachers were taken to safety. some of the children also fainted due to fear and they were given medical attention. I have never experienced an earthquake of this magnitude. the teachers and students were mortally terrified.

Quake Experience: I was sitting in my Office Chair at 9.30 AM and doing job on my PC. Suddenly I felt that my Table is swinging slightly. First I thought that it was just a feeling. Then I stood up and felt that actually the floor is swinging & jerking very lightly and I realised that its an Earthquake.

Quake Experience: It was about 9.20 am morning. I felt that somebody is shaking the bed. I tried to confirm it from my brother. Unmistakably it was an earthquake. I saw fans & chandelier was also shaking. We went out of the home. Neighbors were also out & scared. By 5 minutes it was in news that is was an earthquake. We called Amritsar, we came to know that intensity of this quake was so intense in Amritsar that the gate of our Nana Ji's resident opened by its force. I was calculating its epicenter to be somewhere in Afghanistan but after half an hour it was clear somewhere in Pakistan. After an hour it was quoted Musaffarabad. But some confusion persisted between Musaffrabad and Peshavar. NDTV, AAJ TAK showing wrong Maps. AAJ TAK showed Delhi in Himachal and NDTV showed Musaffarabad in Pakistan North West Frontier State.

Quake Experience: After being woken up in the morning by my mother for most of my life, it was a welcome change today, but certainly not one i would have preferred. Its not everyday in your life that you are woken up by an earthquake. After a late night playing scrabble with my friend i was sleeping in late. somewhere i felt someone shaking my cot and i thought it was my friend playing the fool when i suddenly realised i was sleeping on the floor and my friend would have to be superman to do shake the floor of a three storey building!! 20 seconds later i was out on the open grounds beside the building, probably the fastest time by any living man on earth. but thats what an earthquake can do to sluggish, lazy leviathans like me! man may build hundreds of pyramids, may make planes which carry 1000 people, may put one of their own on moon, may build atom bombs, but will compare to those 20 odd seconds of display of raw power by mother earth of how fragile life can be, of how she can snuff you out in seconds. to feel such a strong and sturdy building shake like it was a pack of cards was quite a humbling experience to say the least. to all those who lost their lives in pakistan and J&K, may your souls rest in peace. For dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return....

Quake Experience: it was of a very high intensty. the doors started ratteling. The fan was going here & there. I was getting ready when i felt giddiness, but soon i found that it was an earthquake. very hoorible. all were outsoide their houses
