Quake Experience: around 0925am, i was in office, suddenly i felt that my chair is dancing. for the moment i enjoyed it but soon i realized that it is earthquake. the water in the bottle, placed on my desk, was wobbling...i informed my all collegues and rush out of the office.that was really a terrible and rememberable moment of my life.

Quake Experience: I am a faculty in the deptt of applied mechanics NIT jamshedpur and presently doing my Ph.D prgram in the deptt of earthquke engg, IIT Roorkee.
when I got up, the morning was stormy and full of fog with dirty look. I was panic for some mishappening. After having my pooja I was sitting on a chair with one leg keeping on the and a dish full of chapati and veg. in left hand. All of a sudden I realized some traveling waves are touching the soft part of bottom part of my leg creating very high sensation. Within 5 seconds I recognised it as earthquake. I call my wife and children com out of the house quickly because earthquke has come. It was my second experience of earthqiuake realization. The first was in 1988 WhileI was in Muzaffarfur, Bihar. Since these I am going through the most challenging issue of multi-levels earthquake resistant design criteria as my research program so I am delighted with panickness with such feelings.

Quake Experience: I got a call from my younger brother on 9.20 am while i am on the way to my Office. He tell me to come out from the room as the buildings are vibrating. In that time he was with his friends room. I say him I do not know about it. After 5 minutes I got 7-8 calls from my friends and also my family regarding earthquake. I told my brother to check our room as my two brothers was in room. He tell me there are nothing damage. When i reached in office i saw news in net and came to know there are lot of damage in Pakistan and Easern India. I also contacted few of my friends who is staying in South India. They also say me they are well and they felt the earthquake.
I pray to God that everyone in our India and in Pakistan are okay.

Quake Experience: I was doing Pranayam in my 4th Floor Apartment in Dwarka. My eyes were closed and all of a sudden my eyes opened and i felt like all the world is moving. everything in side the room were running. My wife was in the Bathroom.She said hey what is happening, why the bathroom door is shaking? I said run to the ground, its the bloody earthquake. She said if i will run in this state(she was taking bath) to outside, then the earthquake will revolved around her.Anyway as soon as we hit the ground the quake stopped. It was my third quake experience.

Quake Experience: I work for Conexant Systems Noida. At 9:25am I entered the Express tower building in Film City and took elevator to get my office on 9th floor. Few people were comming out after feeling minor jolt on ground floor. Being professional I thought not to believe on rumor and entered elevator. Initially on ground and first floor the lift was moving smoothly (I felt like that) but as it went up it started swinging and being alone I was bit worried. But it felt to me as if the alignment of lift wheel is disturbed. As soon as I got out of elevator on 9th floor security guards and other staff were running down and yelling that there is an earthquake. And immediatly I felt that the building is swaying. All of us ran down from 9th to ground using stairs (no more elevator this time). Even after 10 mins I came up to 9th floor to the office but took stairs.

Quake Experience: The natural call had me well seated.
I could feel the my eyes gaze quickly shift nad haze while I sat reading the news paper. I knew that instant that it was an earth quake. I shouted to my wife to take my son outdoor on the roof as I felt a big serpent crwaled under our three story building.
I checked out the clock at bathroom it was 9:26AM.
It was swinging and so were clothes on the hook.
I went for about a minute and then it was over.
Soon I got out of the bathroom and swiched on the television to verify my experience. And in about 5 minutes the news was all over the channels.
The chandigarh confrence suddenly had a double trouble.

Quake Experience: I was having breakfast at a restaurant when i felt that my chair was somewhat trembling...For a moment I thought that my friend sitting opposite to me was trying to shake my chair with his foot but when I saw that his feet were nowhere near my chair I was astonished....Suddenly somebody screamed... "IT'S EARTHQUAKE". After sitting on the chair for 3-4 seconds after this, I came out of the restaurant and saw scores of people waiting outside...waiting to see hoping these tremors dont turn wild and strong. Thank God....the tremors stopped after about a minute....
I hope I never experience it again....
I hope that everybody out there is fine.....

Quake Experience: Well it was a terrible experience.I was sitting in a saloon for my hair cut.Suddenly my chair stating shaking. I thought someone is shaking it intentionally so for a moment I ignored it.But soon I felt as if earth is moving. Now we all understood that its an earthquake!.So we all quickyly ran out of the saloon.There was one sumo standing on the road.No one was in it but it was moving a little but forward and backward due to tremors.All this continued for about 1 and half minute.

Quake Experience: I am staying in Faridabad near Delhi border. I was having breakfast by sitting in Plastic Dinning set, where water was kept both in Glass & Mug. Suddenly I had obsereved that the glass & mug was shaking. The termor was clearly visible to me through the Glass kept over the table and the water inside the glass is rotating. Then I got shocked for couple of seconds and I felt that the floor is going to collapse. Within a minute everything becomes normal. I stopped my breakfast & I had tea. When I reached my office, I came to know about the earth quake. Realy this is the first time I had the experience of Termor/Earthquake. GOD SHOULD SAVE ALL.

Quake Experience: I was waiting at a traffic light in NOIDA. Suddenly I felt my vehicle shaking. My initial reaction was that my car has been hit by another vehicle from behind. But there was nothing behind and the car was still shaking from left to right. It suddenly dawned on me that it was an earth quake. I asked a biker standing next to me if he felt anything. He took a couple of seconds to feel the shaking earth and said it was an earth quake. The car kept shaking for a good 30-40 seconds. I called up my family back home as we stay in a multi storied apartment. They had all run down on feeling the shakes.

Quake Experience: I am 52 and have been taking medicine for hyper tension but for last few days I did not take any medicine and felt quite fine.Today I was reading Bhagvat Gita the last part of my daily Puja during Navratra and I suddenly felt that my head was spinning and waited for a while but I felt the tremors again.I thought that my B.P. had suddenly gone up and I was going to have A stroke of paralysis or may be some cardiac problem.I started taking immediate steps and lay in bed.But then my son called me from IIT Delhi and told me that there was earth quake.Then MY WIFE SAID IT WAS EARTHQUAKE WHICH SHE ALSO FELT.anyway I was relieved that there was no problem like hyper tension and the pulpitation of heart was also due to earth quake.We later laughed at our strange experience and apprehension.

Quake Experience: I was laying on my settee watching Sania Mirza struggle in the semi-finals of the Tokyo Open when I felt my settee shaking.At first, I felt it was my sister's mischief but when I turned around there was none.The sttee was still shaking and I realised that it was a quake.People in the neighbourhood came out of their homes while I kept on my settee.But suddenly the match stopped and I got up. BY that time, the quake had passed. It was a very exciting and entertaining experience but turned gloomy when we heard the news of some compatriots dying.

Quake Experience: It was a terible experince for me as I have never experinced such a big earth quake in my life at my Home town Ambala. I was sitting in my ofice and talking to my friend . Intially i thought it was my chair moving so I stood up and ask my friend whether I am wrong or it is really a earthquake. he also experience the same. we quickly ran out of office and tell everybody. When we saw tall building opposite to my office was also shivering. We are all terrrified but thank God nothing happned. It was really a big earthquake which I cant forget easily.

Quake Experience: i was sitting on the flr having breakfast,my plate started shaking,i saw towards my shndlr which was swinging, since my wife was standing and cooking she cdn't felt fr sometime,i told my wift t sit down but by that time she felt and started shouting , i was virtually smiling and told her to calm down and that is the only way we can accept this very gift of almighty-as in this case one is helpless.may god bless all of us !

Quake Experience: In January 2005, myself alongwith my family members were at B-73, Shikar Tower at Satelite. In the morning, when earthquake came, I am in poojaroom, my wife in kitchen and my son in bathroom.
Thanks to God, we all are at 7th Floor. At that moment we all think that we are going to die, but we all came down from 7th Floor and thanks to God that you save us. Our Shikhar Tower's one wing i.e. D Wind totally collapase and round about 100 + our neighbours died. I ance again thanks to God and said GOD IS GREAT

Quake Experience: This is for all those who havent exprienced an earth quake. Always remember that even if the building may no be falling, but if you are somewhat stationary then your head may start spinnig. This is what happened to me and several other people today morning when the tremors were felt at 9:25 am.

Quake Experience: It was in the morning, I with my wife were performing our puja and my 11yr. old son was sitting around us, when this dreaded tremor started and my wife was first among us to identify this as a tremor.we were so scared that we even could not move anywhere and since we were praying for God already , we continued doing the same but my eyes were staring at the roof all the time confirming whether any damage was done or not. It remained nearly a minute and shaked the house thrice. Thank God we are still safe and healthy.

Quake Experience: i was in bathroom when the quake occured. when i felt the quake i thought i am fainting since i just woke up from sleep and i even didnt care to come out. but i cud here people shouting and coming out from our hostel(nilgiri) at iit delhi. this is the first i hav felt a quake and after knowing wht it is, i am very much shocked. many of my frnds who were in college told that the big bell on the top our main building (intended for notifying earthquke) made sound.

Quake Experience: I was working in my office when I started feeling a reeling sensation. I wondered if that could be due to taking my BP medicine on an empty stomach? I wanted to drink some water - then I realised that the waterbottle is shaking. Then I realised that it is an earthquake and walked out of my room into the courtyard. There our flag posts were swinging and the trees around were swinging. Though we experience earthquakes here, this is the first time we experienced for such a long period. Thankfully, there are no damages or causalities in our place.

Quake Experience: Approximatel at 9:25 AM, I was standing inside my business premises, suddenly I felt like that buliding is moving up and down like one feel while travelling in train. I thought some heavy work is going on but when it didn`t stop for 10 seconds I rush outside of the building. Everyone was shocked in the market.
It was really shocking.

I stood up.. my body swayed as if wind blows a dry leaf and my legs started shaking..as I was still in sleep i thought i am feeling weak... them my roommates and brothers shouted bhai wake up it's earhtquake..then i looked at my computer which was shaking like anything.. Then only we all got out of the fourth floor apartment and went downstairs..the first thing I noticed was funny (as for me it was the first earth quake experience)..all the families of my block were standing in adjacent park giving a perfect Hum Saath Saath Hain pose... Well thank goodness that pose diverted the fury of earthquake
