Incidently all the things around me was vibrating. first i thought that it is just my doubt but when it was continous i came out of my room and told the security gaurds and other persons to leave the office as early as possible and get down from the building. we all came in lawn then looked towards our building.. after some time it was quite ok.. then i called to my home to know everything alright. it was the second experience i faced last time when it came in bhuj..

Quake Experience: It was terrible, horrifying and scary moment. As i was waking up from bed and my wife who is expecting our first child was with me. At first when I felt bed moving and shaking I asked her if she is doing some thing to make the bed move. But when the shake continued and I come to know that it is actually the mother earth that is shaking i yelled to my wife to come out of bed at once. We were on first floor of our house which is situated in a densly populated area of Lahore (Privincial Capital of Punjab Privince). I also shout to my parents to come out in open. By the time me and my wife reached a open tarrace it was all shaking and glass in windows were trembleing and I was half asleep and really it was hard to walk with stable steps. It took us a minute to come out on tarrace and there we stayed. But still the quake was making the big swings. It was not settling down. I started recieting Holy verses loudly.
Quake stayed for more than a minute. It was like it never gonna end and time has gone still stand. Everthing around was vibrating and shaking with noise.
Im 29 yrs and I never witnessed such a magnitude quake in my life before.
Every where i look to things were moving and shaking.
I looked to another building the whole structure was moving back and forth. At that momemnt it felt that this will not settle down and this buidling will gonna collapse.
Whole appartment tower with 15 storey structure in Islamabad is collapsed.
Now when im posting this from my office i was informed that many tall buildings in the city are damaged and big cracks have appeared in the walls and structure. Another of my office building which is 8 storey tall is called shut down as there are major cracks in the walls.

Quake Experience: I was taking my morning breakfast.Then suddenly i started to feel the vibrations. first I thought may its an illusion but then the shocks incresed in intensity and my cook came to me running. Me also got up from my bed still in my undergarments and stayed under the door of the room till the socks lasted.I had read somewhere that the safest place in such case if you are living in high bulidings is the door.

Quake Experience: On 26th January 2001 the earthquake was rocked in Kutch we are just 48 km away from epicenter. when earthquake started my father immediately told me that this earthquake and rushout from house.The time period of earthquake was 1& 1/2 minutes. We shocked but the presence of mind already saved our life. Our house was mostly cracked. I can't tell that how we felt in quake. It is like "Pralay" that earth is now will destroy. Everywhere only we dust. Nobody came out from their houses. We all family members can't able to stand without eachother's support. We all familyt member huged eachother in outside in the ground. It is really rebirth of ourselves. But we have made ourself internally strong and slept 1&1/2 month outside the house in street. This is my feelings.

I was in my office standing and could not feel anything,whereas all my fellow staff felt it very severely and started running out of office and panicked me to follow suit.
My wife felt the tremor so heavily,she become nervous for a moment.Our apartment is in the 3rd floor,she felt the TV trolley shaking and moving off its location,it was on castor wheels.The computer table rattled so badly the same was resting on height adjusting studs.The loft doors were opening and closing on its own.It was terrible as per her and she took a while to come out of fear due to tremor.

I disregarded it thinking it could be a vibration due to the vehicles passing by, but it kept on. So I opened the door, there was nobody.

Quake Experience: I was reading newspaper sitting on my Cane Sofaset suddently my sofa started shaking,for a movement I thought it was my wife who always behind me reminding me to get ready for my office. Then I realised it was not her I immediately looked at other articles I found everything is moving. Then we all ran to the balcony my neighours were also in shock then everybody came out of the apartment since it is three storyed building.
For a movement it was a terrible shock. But no casualities were noticed though it is 6.8 on the Richter Scale.

Quake Experience: Early in the morning, at about 9:30am - while I was snoozing, I knew I was hellishly late for my morning class (college). I live alone in New Delhi, India far, far away from my parent's land - but during my mom-dependent schooldays :-D I was habitual of being woken up by my mom's continual teasing!
I sensed a simila push, a tease right near my legs and all so suddenly the my bed became my shaking body massager! I got the shock of my life the second I woke up from half-dreamy half-snoozing state realizing this is now where my mom is - this is New Delhi - and I live alone in this apartment - who the hell was that? The next second, I felt it even harder and this time I sprung from bed - upright - the sleep the snooze the weariness fully out :-> It took me a few seconds to realize this was a tremor.

Quake Experience: I am working with a private ltd. co. and was at office at the time of quake. I was'nt aware of it at the beginning. A colleague of mine sitting opposite my table complained why I was shaking the table. It wa at that time I realised I wasnt shaking it and was aware of the earthquake as the intensity increased. The entire staff ran out of the office. Since being a saturday both my children ages 5 & 3 were at home with a young maid. I had no choice but to stay indoor and pray for the safety of my kids as well as other children who too were alone at home like mine. And the prayers were really answered and the earthquake came to a still. I rang up my home to enquire about the safety of my children. WHo were very much safe & were not aware of what had happened. My maid did really help them by taking them out into the open are along with our neighbours who are too caring.
God does answers prayers.

Quake Experience: I felt the quake exactly at 9:25 AM when I was sitting on my PC and was checking my mails.For a while i though that i am feeling dizzy because i did'nt took my morning breakfast.But then i felt that my chair is shaking.I was getting front and backward jerks for half minute.I then realise that this is earthquake.We have a series of beeds hanging in our drawing room and it was swinging, the flower pot was shaking and small clay model was drifting forward. I then told my mother and father to go outside for the safety.
Meanwhile i saw many neighbour coming out from there home.
There i thought that epicenter should be Koyna because last month i read that sesimologist for the first time have predicted massive earthquake at Koyna before December 2005.But after 10 minutes when i switched on TV to see news i came to know that the epicenter is Pakistan and not Koyna.

Quake Experience: I was asleep after my morning prayer, suddenly I felt a shivering through my body, I thought it was due to cold but when I woke up with that again I felt something very unusual, a little palpatation, then quickly I thought of the quake but when I sighted my fan it was hanging very steadily(although later I came to know that this fan was hanged so tightly that if someone literally wanted to move that fan he couldn't). Ten I came out in the balcony and as soon as my hand touched the railing of the balcony I was dead sure that this is an earthquake and a trembling one.This whole story took less than a minute.But in this span I've seen the terror, disappointment and helplesness in the eyes of so many people. This again direct some very strong thought that still man has got no power and we have to bow ALMIGHTY for HIS kindness and pity on us.

Quake Experience: sitting in my office..suddenly my computer started shaking..i thought something is wrong with my table..i checked..their was nothing..all my mates realised it was quake...i saw trees shaking..it was very horrifing experience..

Quake Experience: I Was in my Office and working on computer at approx 9.15 my computer and my chair both are dancing. All my seniors feel this same and after that we Just came out from our office.And we see a Electric Pole was also doing the same thing.

Quake Experience: Hey, It was amazing experience , i ever had in life, I was taking the sip of coffee, suddenally, everything starts shaking..
It seems that in a moment, everything becomes history. In mean while all the families in society were moved out of their houses, and making a lot of noise..
Children were little confused and they were putting up a lot of questions to there parents..
after some time , every thing calmed and thank god, there was no damage any where..
But really it was heart breaking experience.

Quake Experience: it was too too scary..
i was in my bed..havin a gud sleep..as last night i was nt feeling well..
n while i was in my bed..i jus felt..that my bed iz shakin..
i thpugh ..may b..some one doin it..
then ..i jus saw...d thingz in my room fell down..n every the room was like a mery go round..
every thing was fallin off..
all of us quicky went down on d road..
even all our neighbours were out of their houses..
ha..now its normal i guess...
bt..no elecricity..
earthquake hit north india..
n srinagar ,jammu n cjandigarh..r majorly effected..
it was my first ever experience of a thing like earthqake..
i nearly felt im dead...!!!!!!

Quake Experience: This is hilarious... I was in the toilet doing my business when suddenly i heard a sloshing sound from inside the toilet (What the hell??!!) I stood up immediately intending to flush and felt the ground shake slightly. Startled, I lost my balance and fell right back in!!! What happened next is too embarassing to post... :p

Quake Experience: When earthquake came i was i my office Saturday Morning at about 9.30 suddenly my chair started shaking i started shouting in my office vacate the office come down earthquake came. All staff came out form office. There was fear that will earthquak come again. But nothing has happened we all are safe .
