Making a pitch for the right party

Known for his witty comments and 'Sidhuisms', Navjot Singh Sidhu (right) will open a new innings when he hits the campaign trial for the BJP.

He joined BJP on February 18. In his own words, Sidhu is 'bowled over' by the BJP. "Minds are like parachutes. They are not conquered until they are opened," he said while joining the party.

He will be campaigning mainly in his home state Punjab.

Slightly overshadowed by Sidhu were Bollywood actor Suresh Oberoi and TV star Gajendra Chauhan, better known for playing Yudhistra in the TV epic Mahabharat, who also joined the party.
