The Rediff Person of the Year!
The Nominations...
From: Sampath.Kumar@professionals.com <sampy@glue.umd.edu> Date sent: Wed, 27 Nov 1996 07:12:08 -0800 (PST) Person Nominated : A. B. Vajpayee Reasons : For all the wrong reasons... ABV showed how someone, just to fulfill his personal ambitions could manipulate the country and its people (not to mention its resources). India's breifest PM ended up making a joke of himself and the indian political system ( whatever that may mean) and exposed the major inherent weaknesses in it. The bottom line - he wasted the country's time and money... Its time we brought in checks so that no future ABV, who has no hopes of proving his majority on the floor of the house may ever be elected PM.
