Reasons : After he overtook Azhar as the captain many people doubted that his batting would spoil and this happened for sometime.But at the Titan Cup he proved it that he is a class player.Under his captaincy now India has won two tests against two strong teams which are south africa and australia.I hope he continues to become a great captain and a great player.

Reasons : He has shown tremendous courage and wisdom in openly coming out in support of restoration of democratic process in the troubled vale of Kashmir,which at one time loooked almost impossible.It is not only a tribute to Dr.Abdullah personally , but also to the people of Kashmir, who have suffered a lot in the last few years,and were looking forward to seeing light at the end of a dark tunnel,and Dr. Abdullah has led them to it. Reasons : Apart from some of the obvious reasons like personal honesty and integrity, I think he (along with others in judiciary and the executive), has shown that we have the regulatory framework for being a more honest, law abiding nation. Only, we need men and women with backbone and honesty to enforce the framework. Ordinary folks would be the biggest beneficiaries!
