Our first halt was at Brooks Brothers from where we got our clothes. It is a famous shop in Los Angeles. We spent nearly three and half hours trying out outfits, getting them altered, trying on shoes... I am used to wearing loose clothes but here, I had to wear everything one size smaller. But the clothes didn't feel comfortable, they looked perfect.

We met Freida Pinto at the shop, and also saw Nick Cannon, Mariah Carey's husband, who was also shopping. That was my first celebrity sighting in Los Angeles.

From Brooks Brothers, we were taken to the Nike store. I did not buy anything as I did not like anything. Then we were taken to our hotel rooms. We were put up at the Inter Continental Hotel while Madhur stayed at the Four Seasons with Freida and Dev Patel. We were all given false names to fool the paparazzi. My name was Hurley Race, Dev was Agent J and Tanvi was Kate Opusey.
