'This is a Kangana film'

How much Western influence does your film have?

None. I have tried to make a very Indian film. I wanted to make a film that scares me and I think I've done that. There is a scene where your reflection in the mirror behaves differently. The bathroom is the only place where one is all alone. Your reflection and shadow are the only things by your side, and when they start behaving weird, you get scared.

What would you say about Emraan-Kangana chemistry in the film?

This is a Kangana film. Adhyayan and Kangana play a live-in couple. Emraan shuts his heart out, due to past relationships. But when he sees Kangana, there is a spark. She becomes his inspiration. That's the chemistry that they share.

Your film's music always does well. What is the secret?

We are very careful in choosing our songs. Unless it is liked by everyone -- the cast and crew -- we do not pass it. Mukesh Bhatt has a good ear for music.

To get the best work, I get new people.

You have penned lyrics for a song.

Yes, for Soniyo. Udita (Goswami, actress and Suri's girlfriend) and I were going through a tough time. That's when I wrote the song.

What next?

I am not the type who has films lined up. I am concentrating on Raaz – The Mystery Continues for now.
