Srinivas Avasarala, one of the debutants in the Telugu film Ashta Chamma displayed a fine sense of comic timing that made whoever watch laugh out loud.
Nani, Swati, Bhargavi and Srini (as he is fondly called) are the perfect quartet of the film from the National Award-winning director Mohankrishna Indraganti.
Srini, who has lived all over India, spent quite a number of years in Hyderabad. He has a Masters in Mechanical Engineering with focus on Finite Element Analysis. Now he works for Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory.
Srini's interests include racquetball Carnatic Music (particularly Yesudas). In this interview to Radhika Rajamani, Srini talks about how he landed Ashta Chamma and the experience of working in the film. Excerpts:
Were you interested in acting since childhood? Did you participate in school and college theatre?
Yes. It was never anything brilliant though. I have always loved language classes and used to have a part in the plays directed by our language teachers. In college, a few like-minded individuals and I wrote, directed and acted in our own plays.
