The union of Ava Gardner and Frank Sinatra
Hollywood stars Ava Gardner and Frank Sinatra were married on November 7, 1951. It was the former star's third marriage, and Sinatra's second.
The marriage lasted until 1957, after which Sinatra married two more times, to Mia Farrow and Barbara Marx. Gardner died in 1990. Sinatra followed her eight years later.
