Kidnapped by a terrorist as a teenager and left to her doom by an uncaring father who refuses to shell out a ransom, she eventually joins forces with her captor, the villainous Renard and helps advance his plot of blowing up her father's oil pipelines so she can take over.

How she meets her end

Just as Renard is about to launch an attack (that would result in an event of nuclear proportions), Bond chases and catches up with King. He asks her to call off the attack but she refuses. Bond kills her with a single bullet to the chest. Notably, she is the only woman to ever be killed by the agent directly.
