Amelie star Audrey Tatou is always good news -- forgive her for the Da Vinci Code, Dan Brown's lines could cripple any actor -- and here she is in Anne Fontaine's upcoming biopic of Gabrielle Chanel.

She started obscurely and made history, and the woman the world called Coco has an unbelievable story behind her. It is a legend worth reading up on and watching, and while this might be standard-issue biopic Oscar bait, it holds much promise.
