Thanks to an excellent start with Iron Man, we have enough reason to assume we'll be flocking the 'plexes this summer. Not that it keeps us film addicts from dreaming about more.
In that vein, here's a look at the stills and trailers that have me significantly excited. Most of the films aren't out anytime soon, but personally, I'm frothing at the mouth for some of these.
Here's hoping they don't disappoint. Heck, some of them just plain can't.
1. Burn After Reading
Typical, innit? After conquering the world with their nihilistic masterwork No Country For Old Men, genius siblings Joel and Ethan Coen are all set to serve up a screwball comedy. Nice.
Burn stars John Malkovich as a disgruntled former CIA man writing his memoirs. Wife Tilda Swinton snarfs the manuscript to hold over his bald head in divorce court, but the CD ends up with a couple of intellectually-challenged gym employees, Frances McDormand and -- complete with highlighted hair -- Brad Pitt.
The CIA, panicking to protect their secrets, does what Steven Soderbergh would do: send in George Clooney to work things out.
Wackiness, such glorious wackiness.
