Very few directors court controversy quite like Oliver Stone, a talented filmmaker clearly given to writing his own version of history. This time, he takes on the Republicans head on with this George Dubya Bush biopic slated to release mid-October this year: just a couple of weeks before the US elections!
And controversy be darned, this looks like fun. Josh Brolin from No Country looks unrecognisable but feels perfectly like a Bush-caricature, and Stone is convinced that while Bush may be the worst President in history, he has quite a fascinating story behind him.
And so the screenplay involves a frustrated George Sr standing on his lawn while an inebriated Dubya yells insults at him. Heh.
