What made you shortlist Amruta Khanvilkar, who stars in this film?
I did not spot her. My assistant did. She has done couple of small roles earlier, which I haven't seen. But she is very talented and I was very impressed with her.
How is she as an actress?
Her role in Contract is not much. But I was so impressed with her that I cast her in Phoonk [his upcoming horror film] as well.
What is Phoonk about?
It is a film that will scare the people witless. It is based on black magic, which has its own believers.
Do you believe in black magic?
No, because it didn't happen to me. If it does, obviously I will be scared.
