'Contract is not a dark film like Satya or Company'

Ram Gopal Varma is no stranger to the underworld having portrayed the same in gritty films such as Company and Satya.

His upcoming flick , Contact too is about organised crime. He tells Nitya Ramani as much in this interview. Excerpts:

What is Contract about?

The basic nature of the underworld was shown in Satya, when extortion was at its peak. Today, it's very different. Contract shows the link between the underworld and terrorism. It is not the story of the underworld. We have a man against this backdrop, who is oblivious to what is happening around him in the city, and how he redeems himself.

Is Contract the last of your trilogy, after Satya and Company?

No. Trilogy makes it sound like it is continuing in some sequence. There are many stories to be told and this is one such story. Trilogy sounds like a finale. I would want to make 100 more stories.

Contract is not a dark film like Satya or Company. It has been packaged differently and is unlike any other Bollywood masala film.
