Sekhar Kammula (Telugu)
Sekhar is now in the big league in the industry although his filmmaking is slightly hatke from the mainstream in the industry.
This software engineer-turned-filmmaker was trained in a film school in the US. A raconteur who writes the stories himself, Sekhar's first film Dollar Dreams won him a National Award while Anand and Godavari happily cruised at the box office.
His last film Happy Days is a smash hit in Andhra Pradesh and the United States and recently crossed the 100-days mark. The success of the film has attracted top stars like Nagarjuna, Venkatesh and Mahesh Babu, who have evinced interest to work with him.
For Happy Days Sekhar picked up seven non-actors and turned them to stars. Some of them have begun work on their second films.
