South cinema's top directors!

Puri Jagannath (Telugu)

Puri Jagannath, the highest paid director in Telugu makes an average of two films a year. In the last seven years he has worked with top heroes like Nagarjuna, Mahesh Babu, NTR Jr, Ravi Teja and Allu Arjun.

Jagan's (as he is known) films are much anticipated by the audience especially after the super-duper hit Pokiri. He was the chosen one to launch Chiranjeevi's son Ram Charan Tej in Chirutha last year.

Jagan began his career with Badri (Pawan Kalyan and Amisha Patel) around the year 2000. Subsequently he teamed up with Ravi Teja for three films -- Itlu Sravani Subrahmanyam, Idiot and Amma Naana O Tamila Ammayi. He also directed Nag in Super and Shivamani.

However, his Andhrawala, which was well publicised did not live up to its hype. Perhaps Jagan's biggest success was Pokiri with Mahesh Babu. He then followed it with Desamuduru starring Allu Arjun.

Jagan is now directing Prabhas in Bujjigadu - Made in Chennai and is slated to direct Ravi Teja in Neninthe.
