'I didn't know I was going to be cast opposite Shah Rukh'

How did the auditions happen?

The pictures were shortlisted by Yash Raj and I was called for auditions. In the audition, I was given a few lines from Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge. After that, I was called for another audition and then confirmed to play Taani.

Initially, I didn't know that I was going to be cast opposite Shah Rukh. I knew I was going to do a Yash Raj Film but I didn't know it would be directed by Adi and would star Shah Rukh.

Did you feel upset that you were kept under wraps until a week after the film's release?

Not at all. I am happy I was under wraps, as I was very nervous. I am glad that I was able to give my 100 percent to the film. This is the best time I can talk to you, as you will have more questions to ask.

Where were you hiding all these days?

I wasn't hiding. I was at home doing the same things I used to before doing the film. I went shopping and met up with friends. It's just that nobody recognised me. In a way, that was good. I wouldn't have been able to be so mobile if people recognised me.
