Shah Rukh Khan's latest heroine Anushka Sharma has finally come out of the shadows, and introduced to the world. The 20-year-old Bangalore-based model made her debut in Aditya Chopra's Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, and looks poised for a successful innings in the Hindi film industry.
She spoke to Nithya Ramani about her first film, her famous co-star and much more.
Rab Ne has been getting mixed reviews.
I respect the critics' opinions. After all, they are opinions. When people watch a film, they have the right to like it or hate it. So far, the reviews I have got have been more positive than negative. So that feels nice.
You landed your first film with Shah Rukh Khan, under the Yash Raj banner. How did you react when you came to know of it?
I was obviously excited and happy. But at the same time, I felt very responsible. I was working with such great people, who are so good in what they do. Be it Adi, Shah Rukh or anybody from the production house, goofups were expected from me. So I knew I had to give my best.
