How different was it working with Bhale Dongalu director, Vijayabhaskar?
He was very supportive and was more of a father figure. It was comfortable working with him. With Trivikram, we were like a bunch of friends. Trivikram and Vijayabhaskar's approach towards work was different.
Isn't shooting two films back-to-back tough?
When I did Munna, Khatarnak, Rakhee and Aata, it was pretty difficult. After Aata, I was very stressed. There was a gap between schedules with Jalsa and Bhale Dongalu, so it was fine.
Did you feel, at any time, what was narrated to you in the script stage was not properly translated on screen?
Yes, Khatarnak is an example. I trusted people and but I felt betrayed. I was upset with the reviews. I was in tears when I saw the film after two months. I could also understand why people asked me why I did the film. I was not portrayed properly -- some camera angles were especially bad.
In Aata, the producer and director lost control of the script. It was tossed around and not clearly explained to me. I had exams after Aata and my sister got married. That's when I relaxed and felt rejuvenated.
I cannot connect with people, who are fake. I have met many like that. With Trivikram, it was different. He is a true friend and his family is lovely. My interest in acting was revived after Jalsa.
I learnt the hard way. Now I make sure I am not pushed around and ensure the director is in control of the film.
